hats a good wireless keyboard and mouse with a long wireless range? ive had a laptop for a long time so i never needed to worry about keyboard and mouses but ive just bought a desktop and i plan to connect it to my tv which is across the room from the chair. im looking for a good wireless mouse and keyboard with a range of 2 or 3 meters so i dont loose connection when i move too far away.

StIcKiT replied: "just buy one from anywhere for about 30 50 im doin the same as u but i play games using my keyboard and mouse two rooms away and its just as responsive as wired. go to pc world well even argos will do"

Fayyu replied: "Logitech's range of keyboards and mice are generally high performance kits. If you want one that has high performance, you could opt for bluetooth enabled keyboard and mouse. Bluetooth keyboards can work upto ranges upto 30 ft."

brianthesnail123 replied: "hi there when buying a wireless mouse and keyboard its more about the batterys you use than the range of the peripherals, and since you very rarely use wirelss peripherals further than 2/3m away from the pc the range shouldnt be a issue however from experience i have found labtech and logitech make the best wireless keyboards and mice for example the Logitech Cordless Desktop EX 110(+?productId=23256 ) is a excellent set and looks ok aswell, the keyboard has soft-touch keys and the mouse is comfortable to use,and at only 22.94 inc. VAT it represents excellent value however the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 3000( +?productId=36971 ) is also a very good set and being made by microsoft the keys are optimized for s xp and vista, and as with most microsoft products the quality is good in regards to the connection of the mouse and keyboard there are other factors that can affect the connection which include bluetooth devices, mobile phones and cordless landline phones, aswell as wireless networks all these can affect the smooth performance of your mouse and keyboard, however using good batterys(duracell, ever ready) or rechargable batterys will reduce these problems good luck !"

What is the range of a wireless keyboard/mouse? I am thinking about setting up a small pc connected to my LCD TV, so I can surf the web from the couch, and would want a wireless keyboard/mouse, which I've never bought. Is it true they only have about a 3 foot range? I need MUCH more range. Any suggestions? Are bluetooth better as far as range?

Tyler Pickering replied: "Bluetooth should get you better range at about 20 feet. My couch is about 5 feet from the table and still works on mine. It may help to strategically place your wireless adapter (i.e. close to your couch if its USB)"

spoiled_meat999 replied: "usually only about 3-5 feet if youre lucky but bluetooth should get you alot more range like about 10-15 feet maybe less.... hope this helps and good lluck"

unknown replied: "depends"

Which wireless keyboard will give me better range? Which wireless keyboard type will give me better range and be more responsive for long distances? like 10+ feet. Bluetooth, Infrared, or Radio frequency? My current HP wireless keyboard is RF wireless. and it only gets about 3 feet on a good day. Having my computer hooked up to a 52" monitor, i don't sit two inches from it. I don't do major computing on it. but like to be able sit back on my couch and change the song or movie.

Can you buy a long-range wireless keyboard and mouse that you can move between rooms of your house? I'm stuggling to find one! Thanks Al lot of you have said "Why do it? You wouldn't see the screen". Well my PC is wired up to a HDTV in my lounge so I want to keep the computer upstairs and work on it from the HDTV downstairs!

sues replied: "cant understand why you would want one but they are called laptops"

jizzumonkey replied: "was gonna say the same as sues , nice one, buy a laptop !"

Charm replied: "What would be the point in that - you wouldn't see the screen if you were in another room!"

surfbird replied: "My Microsoft keyboard and mouse has quite a range. I have to go to the end of the garden to clean it otherwise it freaks out when I press all the buttons. There is a flaw in your thinking though....you won't be able to see the screen."

DEBORAH B replied: "if your in the uk try pc world got mine from there ."

ray_8128 replied: "Its called a laptop. Anticipating your next question, get wireless internet service and you wont have to drag a Ethernet cable from room to room."

Wireless keyboard and mouse with 10' range or more? I'm looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse with atleast a 10' range any suggestions?

Jamie W replied: "Look into a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Standard IR signal degrates over long distances, and it is POS. Bluetooth works around 30 feet and is not POS."

Mercuri replied: "Range is going to be dependant on a lot of factors. However, just about every Logitech Wireless device I've used has had range of at least that much."

Jason M replied: "get a 2.4ghz device, there very fast and have longgggg range"

roastbeefcurtains79 replied: "Just use something that is bluetooth since they have a range of about 30'. Nothing else is going to get a range of 10' and work well."

GTB replied: "I doubt that you will find any"

What is a good wireless keyboard and mouse that is compatible with mac? Anyone know a wireless keyboard and mouse which is compatible with mac and works well. Hopefully under 35-40 dollars max and the range is good. Thank You

Alex replied: "Hello take a look at the link i provided for you to chose which keyboard and mouse you prefer."

alecjloorz replied: "Well, you're not going to find much under 35-40 dollars... but you could start by looking at the keyboard/mouse from apple itself. I have the apple wireless mouse, and it works fantastically. It also has some cool features that other mice don't have. And I've heard the keyboard is great as well. Here's the website for the mouse: and the keyboard: Good luck finding what you need!"

Where can I find a wireless keyboard/mouse set with maximum range and functionality? I found this on ebay. It has all the functionality I want, but I need more range. Help ME! =&item=140106173268&rd=1&rd=1

Deepak replied: "www.logitech.com try there u ill hav 24/7 online store too! gudluck frnd!!"

ghettocowboy248 replied: "go with a bluetooth setup. u get much better range than rf"

How much durable is a wireless keyboard? how much wireless keyboard battery stay alive before start missing letters? and do the keyboard antenna has to be visible to the usb-drive? or just in range?

smirnof120 replied: "Depends on the maker. My Mircosoft keyboard would go too long. My I had to start checking the batteries every month because i would end up replacing them when the batteries started corroding. If they did die it usually took about 6 mo and im a pretty avid gamer. The mouse on the other hand was about done after a month. If your worried about it get a rechargable one. The reciever needs to be on what is called the same plane for best performance, but my keyboard did pretty well from 3 feet away 4 inches above. The same plane means oriented the same way as the keyboard at the same level... ie the recever end sitting on its feet on your desk with the keyboard on the same desk on its feet would be the same plane. If your looking to buy one go online and read customer reviews from a website that sells them ie newegg.com that will tell you if it is any good."
